Abstract: 

joint investment funds, as one of the most vital non-banking financial intermediaries, are responsible for capital transfer from resource owners (society members) to consumers (manufacturing and service companies and others). In Iran, for the first time, based on the Securities Market Law, approved in 2005, joint investment funds were expected, and stock investment funds entered the capital market from the beginning of 2017. The purpose of this research was to investigate the influencing factors on the returns of stock investment funds through the analysis of the history of these funds' performances in Iran's economy. For this purpose, 136 joint funds active in the capital market were examined. Data analysis has been done with a pooled structure (unbalanced panel) and with a fixed effects regression model using the ordinary least squares (OLS) method. The results of this research confirm the existence of a significant linear relationship between fund returns and variables such as fund life, deviation from the average, ownership of all real investors, and inflation in the previous period, and market index in the previous period. Among these, the life of the fund and inflation has a negative effect on the efficiency of the fund and other variables have a positive effect.

Abstract: 

Alarm systems are essential in safe operation of industrial plants. Since many process variables are interacting with each other, so in this paper, an approximate method is introduced to design and analysis of a multivariate alarm system. In this method, the alarm system is designed base on joint indices. The joint FAR and joint MAR are defined for a m-variable alarm system thanks to multivariate Markov scheme. In proposed method, the alarm joint indices are defined by solving a Linear Programing (LP) optimization problem. By defining joint indices, tuning of the alarm parameters (like, threshold and etc. ) can be done by these indices instead of correlation analysis. In this paper, penalty scenario and Genetic algorithm are used for alarm generation, and parameter optimization in Tennessee Eastman (TE) Process. The results of proposed method are compared with other methods.

Abstract: 

Background and Objectives: In an energy harvesting cognitive radio network, both energy efficiency and spectrum efficiency can be improved, simultaneously. In this paper, we consider an energy harvesting-based multiantenna cognitive radio network to execute cooperative spectrum sensing, data transmission and RF energy harvesting by secondary transmitter from PU’ signal and the ambient noise, simultaneously. Methods: In his paper, two novel models called joint Power allocation and Energy Harvesting by Time switching and Antennas splitting (JPEHTA) and joint Power allocation and Continuous Energy Harvesting (JPCEH) are proposed. We formulate the joint optimization problems of the sensing time, detection threshold, energy harvesting time, number of cooperative antennas for sensing and energy harvesting as well as power allocation for each antenna in both proposed models. The aim is for enhancing both the spectral and the energy efficiencies under constraints on the probabilities of global detection and false alarm, energy harvesting and transmission power budget. Then, the considered multi-variable problem is solved by using two convex-based iterative proposed algorithms having less computational complexity compared to baseline approaches to achieve the optimal parameters and goals of the problem. Results: The results present insights about the impact of the sensing time, detection threshold, power allocation and the number of antennas on the energy and spectrum efficiencies of cognitive radio network with an energy harvesting capability. Conclusion: Simulation results have shown that the proposed schemes outperform the structures that have not optimized all the parameters considered in this paper, jointly or schemes in which single-antenna SU are participated in spectrum sensing, energy harvesting and data transmitting.

Abstract: 

Mobile cloud computing (MCC) is a new technology that has been developed to overcome the restrictions of smart mobile devices (e. g. battery, processing power, storage capacity, etc. ) to send a part of the program (with complex computing) to the cloud server (CS). In this paper, we study a multi-cell with multi-input and multi-output (MIMO) system in which the cell-interior users request service for their processing from a common CS. Also, the problem of the optimum offloading is considered as an optimization problem with optimization parameters including communication resources (such as bandwidth, transmit power and backhaul link capacity) and computational resources (such as the capacity of cloud server) in the downlink network. The main goal is to minimize the total energy consumption by mobile users (MUs) for processing with the delay limitation for each use. This issue leads to a non-convex problem and to solve the problem, we use successive convex approximation (SCA) method. We finally show that the joint optimization of these parameters leads to reducing the energy consumption of the network with simulation examples.

Abstract: 

Wheat ground beetle Zabrus tenebrioides (Goeze) (Coleoptera: Carabidae) is an important wheat pest in Iran and some regions of the world. This pest causes damage to wheat by feeding on the root, stalk, and leaves. Farmers try to control this pest by the foliar application of different insecticides, but this method causes damage to the environment. To find an effective method to control this pest, the thiamethoxam insecticide (Cruiser®) efficiency was evaluated using seed treatment in this study. An experiment based on a randomized complete block design with four treatments and four replications was conducted in a field in Ramhormoz city, Khuzestan province (Iran). The treatments were 150 and 200 ml of thiamethoxam plus 2350 ml of water for seed treatment, 2,000 ppm of diazinon by field spraying at the wheat tillering stage, and a control. The results indicated that the average plant density in 150 and 200 ml of thiamethoxam (333.58 and 333.28 plant/m2, respectively) was more than those of diazinon (258.28 plant/m2) and the control (182.12 plant/m2). The average ear density in 150 and 200 ml of thiamethoxam (513.78 and 506.12 plant/m2, respectively) was more than those of diazinon (321.22 plant/m2) and the control (260.86 plant/m2). According to the present results, farmers can use 150 ml of thiamethoxam plus 2350 ml of water for 100 kg of seeds to control this pest by seed treatment.

Abstract: 

In this paper the application of centrifugal type gas separator as a part of submersible electric screw pumping unit is considered. A number of bench tests have been carried out to study the centrifugal gas separator on viscous gas-liquid mixture. Calculation of the dependence of delivery on the developed pressure of a single screw pump at the angular speed of rotation of the rotor 225 rpm for different gas content has been made. Also, characteristic curves of gas separators of groups 5 and 5A at different gas contents and different viscosity of gas-liquid mixture are obtained. A methodology for bench testing of gas separators has been developed, which takes into account the influence of gas-liquid mixture properties, changes in the angular speed of the electric motor shaft rotation, and natural separation parameters. The operating parameters of a gas separator of group 5A were determined experimentally, taking into account a residual gas content of 50%, in the range of angular speeds of 252 – 1000 rpm (4.2 – 16.7 Hz).

همواره در طول تاریخ، نبود یک زبان مشترک و برداشت های مختلف از یک موضوع باعث ایجاد مشکلات و سوء تفاهمات زیادی گشته است. زمینه های مختلف علم نیز از این امر مستثنی نبوده و همیشه در بین دانشمندان و محققان علوم مختلف، اختلاف نظرهای زیادی بر روی واژگان بوده و مشکلات زیادی از نبود یک زبان مشترک به وجود آمده است. یکی از این علوم که در سال های اخیر گسترش زیادی داشته است و شاخه های زیادی به آن اضافه شده است، علوم پزشکی است که به دلیل گستردگی و انشعاب رشته های مختلف در این علوم، محققان و افرادی که در این زمینه مشغول هستند با مشکل تفاهم و ایجاد یک زبان مشترک مواجه هستند.

Abstract: 

Probability density functions of the involved random variables are essential for the reliability-based design of offshore structures. The objective of present research was the derivation of probability density function (PDF) for the local joint flexibility (LJF) factor, fLJF, in two-planar tubular DK-joints commonly found in jacket-type offshore structures. A total of 162 finite element (FE) analyses were carried out on 81 FE models of DK-joints subjected to two types of axial loading. Generated FE models were validated using available experimental data, FE results, and design formulas. Based on the results of parametric FE study, a sample database was prepared for the fLJF values and density histograms were generated for respective samples based on the Freedman-Diaconis rule. Nine theoretical PDFs were fitted to the developed histograms and the maximum likelihood (ML) method was applied to evaluate the parameters of fitted PDFs. In each case, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov and chi-squared tests were used to evaluate the goodness of fit. Finally, the Inverse Gaussian model was proposed as the governing probability distribution function for the fLJF. After substituting the values of estimated parameters, two fully defined PDFs were presented for the fLJF in tubular DK-joints subjected to two types of axial loading.
